My early gaming influences are the classic 2D platformers like Mega Man, SuperMarioBros, Kirby,Castlevania, and Contra. When I 1st got my ipod touch , I immediatetly searched the appstore for any platforming game experience. This was back in 2010 when platforming games where rare. I found 3 good platformers at the time PizzaBoy,Soosiz, and The Hero. Over time more platformers like Meganiod, PaperMonsters, Stardash, Awesomeland, Lep's World and League of evil 1&2 had come out and traditional platforming gaming exploded on the iphone gaming scene. While I loved those games, something felt like it was missing. One problem I always had with Iphone platforming games was the main charactor always had a lack of powers. What made games like Contra, Super Mario Bros, and Kirby great was you got to experience gaining or using differnt powers, which made you play the game over and over after beating it. That was the goal of Atomic 2DPlatformer, bringing back the fun of having multiple powers in iphone platform gamming.

Also most iphone games have a lack of boss or even no bosses in the game. So I made a couple of bosses and even a Boss Arena Mode that you can unlock where you fight all the bosses back to back.
